All you wanted to know but were afraid to ask
How much
can I expect to get paid?
Amounts
paid for the rental of picture vehicles vary according to several
elements:
a) type of vehicle
b) value of vehicle
c) role of your vehicle
d) use of your vehicle
e) length of rental and # of days actually worked
f) amount of advance notice given prior to rental
g) production companies need based on availability of other vehicles
similar to your vehicle
h) type of production
i) #1 CRITERIA IS THE PRICE YOU HAVE SET YOURSELF!!!!
For detailed information on all of these
.... go to the MovieVehicles.Com web page.
How do I receive
payment and how long do I have to wait?
You
recieve a check from NationWide PictureCars.Com within 10 working
days of completion of your work.
Do you take
a percentage of what I get paid? No. The price you set for the rental
of your vehicle is what you receive.
Do I have to
have insurance? No. Once you arrive at location and
up until the time you leave the location, the production company has
an insurance policy covering you and your vehicle. However, their
insurance does not cover you or your vehicle to and from the location,
unless they are transporting the vehicle. If they are transporting
the vehicle, then it is insured by them from the time they pick it
up, to the time they return it. No vehicles, under any circumstances,
will be rented to production companies unless they have supplied NationWidePictureCars.Com
with a certificate of insurance. Furthermore, the certificate of insurance
must show general liability and auto liability coverage in the amount
of one million dollarsor more for all hired vehicles. There are no
exceptions to this policy and all car owners will be e-mailed a copy
of the certificate of insurance prior to them going out on a job.
What happens
if my car gets damaged? You will need to get 3 estimates
for the damage at repair shops of your choice and submit them to the
production and/or NationwidePictureCars.Com.. The production company
will then have the option of paying the damage themselves or submitting
the claim to their insurance company. If they fail to do either in
a timely fashion then NationWidePictureCars.Com will file a claim
on your behalf with the insurance company.
How does my
vehicle get to location? It's your call. When you list your
vehicle you designate whether:
a) you'll deliver it, and if so, how far you're willing to drive to
location.
b) you want it transported.
c) you'll decide depending on the time and location.
